At Drake's NYC Pop-Up Store, Free 'Views' Tee But No Drizzy

.Drake photographed during the 2016 NBA All-Star Weekend on Feb. 14, 2016 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, CanadaDrake die-hards fell in line spanning three blocks of New York City's Chinatown wrapping around Bowery and Grand Street for a glimpse of Drake. What they left with was a white wristband and a T-shirt that read "Views" instead.
The 6 God announced a pop-up store on Twitter several hours prior with nothing more than a hashtag that read "#Views" and a shout-out to Beats by Dre, which hosted the impromptu event on Monday (April 18).
Those who successfully landed a shirt, like Drizzy fans Augustina and Jose (pictured below), waited for an hour and a half after reporting to 135 Bowery as soon as the Toronto rapper made the special announcement.
"I was super excited," Jose tells Billboard, holding the white "Views" shopping bag that contained a matching white "Views" tee. "A small part of me wanted him to be there."
.
.Instead of Aubrey Graham, approximately 800 people had fallen in line for one of the 1,000 tees available, according to a New York police officer on-site.
The hoopla was still a win for Drake, who's hot on the promo trail for his forthcoming studio effort Views From the 6, which drops April 2.
