Be Careful, Ladies! These are 11 Things that Will Make You Appear Instantly Ugly to Any Man
.There are things you can do that will turn a man off immediately from you. These are some of those things.
You may not know this, but there are a certain number of actions or non-actions that can sabotage your beauty if you’re not careful. Even if you have the looks of a supermodel, if you do these things you’ll truly look ugly to the best of men.
So watch out for these and make sure that you don’t do them. Otherwise, when you meet your Prince Charming, you could be in danger of him actually seeing you as the evil witch.
These things will make you seem ugly to men
1. No sense of humor.
Most men love to laugh, and let’s face it: Guys who are funny are just more fun. But even guys who are serious most of the time want a gal with a great sense of humor. So if you haven’t already, learn to laugh! Sometimes, all this means is loosening up a bit if you tend to be uptight.
2. Stinginess.
Do you fret about money and guard your own possessions with your life? Talk about old witch. Being wise about your money is one thing (it’s good), but dividing your restaurant bill down to the penny and refusing romantic impromptu rides because it costs too much (how much can it cost?) is just too stingy.
3. Being arrogant.
Don’t be like that. Be more down to earth. Act like you would with your best friend or family member.
4. Not being exactly … clean.
.5. Never smiling.
Again, laughing and smiling are great. Do this. Sometimes, yes, even laugh at his corny jokes when you don’t actually think they’re funny. It’s a good thing.
6. Being too much of a “party girl.”
Getting a little wild sometimes can be okay, but too much partying makes you seem like you’re never able to be serious.
7. Lack of style.
Some women naturally have a great style, but if you’re struggling in that area, don’t just resign yourself to a style-less life. Get help!
8. Lack of organization in your life.
We all get messy, but if you have to poor your huge purse out on the table (old napkins, pieces of food, tampons and all), that’s just gross. Stay organized as much as possible.
9. Bad posture.
Bad posture is surprisingly important to almost all of us because it tells us how you feel about yourself.
10. Not “taking care” of yourself.
Not being clean is one thing. But as women, there are a number of other things that we often need to do as well. Now, remember, this is not true for everyone, and every woman deserves to make her own decisions about her appearance. But for many women, just a few “tidying up” routines can make all the difference. For example: Regular shaving/waxing/plucking/trimming Nail care, Foot care (You don’t need a professional pedicure!)Haircuts and/or color
11. Being unkind.
Be kind. Be honest. Do good. Be forgiving. Be generous.
Because these are the things that are truly beautiful to a man, most of all … if you’re looking for a great guy to attract, great guys love great gals. So be that … do good. And you’ll be golden.

Seven contractors, including three Australians and a South African, have been released unharmed four days after they were kidnapped by gunmen in Cross River State.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, police had earlier given accounts of how many had been seized and what their nationalities were, and that they all worked for cement company Lafarge on the outskirts of Calabar, Cross River State, in the Niger Delta.
.The state governor’s security adviser, Jude Ngajim, said five expatriates and two Nigerians had been released.
“They are safe and sound,” he said, noting that a doctor had made medical checks and pronounced them “fit and sound”.
Kidnappings of foreigners are common in the region, which holds most of the OPEC member’s crude oil and contributes about 70 per cent of national income.
Nigeria has remained Africa’s top oil producer until a recent spate of attacks on oil facilities.
People Think I Married My Wife Because of Green Card - Nigerian Comedian Married to an American Opens Up
.A popular Nigerian Comedian who is married to a citizen of the United States, has spoken out about people's reaction to his marriage.
Mr Patrick and his wife, Tammy
Popular Comedian, Mr Patrick, whose real name is Patrick Onyeke, and his wife, Tammy, an American accountant, share their love story
How did you meet your husband?
Tammy: We met in South Africa. I was there to attend a convention. While I was there, a colleague asked me to accompany her to a comedy show. At the time, I had no idea who the comedians billed to perform were. Patrick came on stage soon after we arrived the venue. I loved his performance and I began to scream out of excitement. I was glad to see him and told my friend that I had always wanted to meet him. She then met with one of his friends who introduced us.
Did you spot her while you were on stage?
Patrick: No, I didn’t but immediately we were introduced, I fell in love with her warm personality and beauty. We exchanged telephone numbers and have remained inseparable ever since.
Was it love at first sight?
Tammy: Yes, it was. I had always wanted to meet and get married to an African man. So, when I saw him, I just fell in love with him. He has the sweetest smile I have ever seen; he is an amazing man.
Where you single and searching at the time?
Patrick: Yes, I was and I’m glad that we met.
Tammy: I wasn’t looking to getting married when we began dating. I was looking for love and I felt that we would only consider marriage after dating for about four years. In America, people tend to date a lot longer but I guess in Africa, couples get married really quick. God revealed to me that he is my soulmate and was going to be my husband.
How did he propose?
.Patrick: I proposed to her when I realised that I was already in love with her. We both have similar thought patterns and actions. These factors made me deduce that we are actually compatible.
Yours is a long-distance marriage. How do you both manage to get by?
Tammy: Sometimes, it gets hard but whenever we are together, we are inseparable. We talk everyday, then we video call each other at least four times a week. We both lead busy lives because of our careers, so it makes things a lot safer. The manner we talk and send messages to each other makes it seem as though we are right next to each other.
Did you deliberately set out to marry a foreigner?
Patrick: I belong to the new generation of Igbo men who aren’t too keen on the tribe or race of a woman.Ours is a classic case of destiny because neither of us made a deliberate effort to get married to each other. I guess time and chance happened to us.
How did you react to the snide remarks that trailed your marriage to an American?
Patrick: People complained, but we have overcome all of that.
Tammy: I was nervous when I arrived Nigeria for the first time because I had been told all sorts of horror stories. When I stepped out of the plane and eventually out of the airport, my life felt at peace for the first time. I had never felt a sense of peace before that time.
Did you have the blessings of your parents from the outset?
Tammy: His family is wonderful; his mother took an instant liking to me and we prayed together when we met for the first time. His folks took me around their home, church, and showed me around. They welcomed me with open arms. My mum is very happy for me because she sees how happy I am and how genuine Patrick is. My husband is wonderful man.
Patrick: Our families are very cordial and my wife is adapting quite fast to the Nigerian culture. She is learning to cook our traditional delicacies, whilst also learning my language. I am also learning the American culture even though they are not as culturally oriented as we are in Nigeria.
In what ways do you contribute to the advancement of each other’s career?
Patrick: I introduced her to some banking professionals here in Nigeria and they have done some business together and this has earned her more clients.
Tammy: My husband doesn’t ask for money; he is not that type of guy. Even if he needs something, he wouldn’t ask. He does quite well in that aspect. I am preparing for when he will visit me in the USA, so that we will have a home over here and in Nigeria. With my contacts, I will introduce him to established comedians here in America and have shows fully booked down for him. Everyday, I send him prayers to encourage him because as his wife, I am expected to be his backbone. He appreciates that because it keeps him going.
Who apologises first after a disagreement?
Tammy: We haven’t really gotten into any arguments but if we get into one, I would probably be the first to apologise. I don’t ever want to see him angry and that is also not my wish for this union.
How do you keep admirers at bay?
Patrick: Marriage is still a learning curve for us. I have also made her understand that fake scandals might always arise because I am a celebrity. I have made her understand the dictates of my job, so she can understand my status better.
Is trust ever an issue?
Patrick: She tells me when men make passes at her. We are able to manage such scenarios because we understand that our careers involve us interacting with other people.
Did you have any fear at any point in your relationship?
Tammy: I never did. I told my mum that if it came down to it I would actually live in Nigeria full-time. I love my career but I would be open to being a housewife.
Some celebrities are of the opinion that marriage stalls their career…
Patrick: The Bible said he that finds a wife has found a good thing. There are a lot of blessings attached to marriage. You may not know it but it’s a phase in life you can’t run away from.
What is the secret behind the success of your marriage?
Patrick: We keep our marriage off social media so we don’t attract undue attention. Some people think I married her because of the American Green Card and they have been telling her so. I told her that she met me in this business as a star and not as a hungry man. I have travelled to different parts of the world but Nigeria is still a better place to live in.
Do you both have access to each other’s social media accounts?
Patrick: We follow each other on social media but we don’t have access each other’s accounts because that is private.

A justice of the federal high court in Abuja, has rejected an application for leave to travel abroad for medical treatment filed by Olisa Metuh.
Olisa Metuh in handcuff during a court appearance
At the federal high court sitting in Abuja this morning, Justice Okon Abang, has rejected an application for leave to travel abroad for medical treatment filed by former spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh.
The court judge held that the court lacked the jurisdiction to entertain the application because there was a subsisting order directing Metuh to deposit his international passport with the chief registrar of the high court.
.
"This is not a case of sympathy, but a case of law. This court has no jurisdiction to entertain this application. The court is not Father Christmas to give to the defendant what it did not ask for. The application lacks merit. It is accordingly dismissed. The court cannot set aside its decision," he ruled.
Aww! Hero Policeman Who Saved a Girl from Burning House 18 Years Ago Attends Her Graduation (Photos)
.
A policeman who is being hailed as a hero all around the world for risking his won life to save an endangered girl has had a special treat as he watches her celebrate her big day.
The hero cop, Peter Getz and Josibel Aponte at her graduation
The hero cop has been reunited with the girl he saved from a deadly apartment fire almost twenty years ago.
According to Daily Mail, Josibel Aponte was just five years old in 1998 when her Connecticut home went up in flames, in a blaze that claimed the life of her uncle and would have almost certainly killed her, if not for her 'saviour' Peter Getz.
The dramatic rescue was captured in a powerful newspaper photograph which showed the retired police detective carrying the ash-covered unconscious girl in his arms.
Now Aponte has been reunited with her rescuer, without whom she would not be here today.
.On Tuesday, she invited Getz, to join her as she graduated magna cum laude from Eastern Connecticut State University, Courant reports.
'There are only a few moments that are so important in life,' Aponte said. 'I wanted to share my graduation with everyone who's important to me, who have been there for me, and who helped me through tough times.'
This is the moment Getz saved 5-year-old Aponte's life in 1998
On that fateful day on June 25, 1998, Getz said he had called out to a fire in the Aponte's apartment on Washington Street.
He arrived at the scene just in time to see a firefighter carrying a young girl out of the burning building. Before he could react, the youngster was thrust into his arms as the fire crews ran back into the building to fight the flames.
Acutely aware that Aponte was not breathing and did not have a pulse, Getz said he fled back to the patrol car where he immediately began to perform CPR.
The cop continued CPR in the back of the car throughout the journey to the hospital, and by the time they pulled up, his young patient was breathing normally again.
Sadly, Aponte's uncle Jofrey was not so lucky and later passed away from his injuries. Her mother was at work at the time.
The burnt house in which Aponte nearly died 18 years ago
For Aponte, she remembers little of the ordeal past the thick heavy smoke and trying unsuccessfully to wake Jofrey.
But for Getz, it was an experience that always stayed with him.
'It's one of those things that touches your heart and stays with you,' he said. 'It's a situation that we could control, that we could foresee the outcome of. The firemen did their job, I did my job, the hospital staff did their job. As a result, we still have a beautiful young woman still on the face of the Earth.'
Now an investigator with Aetna, Getz kept the iconic photo of the rescue on his desk, and would keep tabs on Aponte and her family and after they moved to Vernon.
Aponte and Getz hang out together often these days
But he said he was not sure whether he should reach out to her.
Two years ago, Aponte made the decision for him after she was able to track down the former detective on Facebook.
Now 23, she said she had wanted to meet the man who saved her life.
'Not many people can or are willing to put themselves in danger to save others,' she said. 'It's because of people like Peter and all of our police officers and firefighters that I'm alive.'
Since making contact, the pair often get together to discuss their lives and the night that first brought them together.
And when it came time for Aponte to graduate from Eastern Connecticut State University. on Tuesday, she said she couldn't have imagined not having Getz at her side.
